It’s cold outside, but you are warm inside your home. Because your window was exposed to warmth on one side and cold on another, frost has covered your windows. It is beautiful, isn’t it? One of the true delights of fair weather is watching fluffy white cumulus cloud shapes, etched by an invisible artist on a vast canvas of blue sky. Cloud watching is best done with a good friend, lying on your backs or sitting comfortably. You see an elephant; your friend sees an angel. You both say “Train” at the same time and have a good laugh. Your friend spots an ice cream cone, and you see a hamburger. It must be time for lunch. Who knew that so many joyous hours could be spent just watching cumulus clouds on a sunny day?

The sky is darkening as grey nimbus clouds form overhead. You rush to bring in the clothes that are drying on the line before the first drops begin to fall. Thirsty plants prepare for happy hour where the drinks are free and completely refreshing. The timpani of heaven thunder as the storm clouds release their cargo of rain on the parched earth. Lightning flashes illuminate the sky in a glorious display. The soothing rhythm of raindrops on the rooftop relaxes every muscle in your body. What a perfect opportunity for a nap!

The gentle pitter-patter of raindrops on the window doesn't have to be the harbinger of a grey mood. The sound of rain is one of the most relaxing sounds in nature. Curl up on the window seat with a good book, your pet and a cup of warm tea and escape to destinations far and wide.

Are you feeling a bit peckish after a busy morning travelling from one garage sale to another looking for bargains? Mobile food kiosks have been set up in Crocus Park. A queue is already forming, so the food must be really good. It is hard to choose between so many flavours of ice cream and such a variety of home baked sweets. Now to find a nice park bench or picnic table to rest and enjoy your treat. You need an energy boost because there are more garage sales to visit and a large flea market in the city square.

The light is waning, and there is a chill in the evening air. The mobile food kiosks have been selling refreshments to bargain hunters all day. Now, the shelves are empty, and it is time to close for the night. Tomorrow, the kiosks will move to the waterfront with a fresh stock of tasty treats for sunbathers, swimmers, and boaters.

Who doesn’t love a pool party? Put on your swim suit, grab your favorite floatie, and jump in. Athletic pets can join in the swimming races, beach dodge ball game, and diving tournament. More artistic pets can participate in synchronized swimming and water ballet. Of course, you can also just soak, splash, or lean on the edge of the pool with a cool drink.

What fun this pool party has been! The guests have been in the pool for so long that their skin is wrinkled like prunes. Burgers are on the barbeque; and a table filled with summer salads, freshly squeezed fruit juices, and many flavours of ice cream has been laid out. As the smell of the sumptuous smorgasbord drifts towards the pool, the hungry, tired pets jump out, grab a towel, and head towards the food.

Heavy rain is falling, and tree branches are breaking as the gale hits shore. Close your shutters, stay indoors, and pray that no boats are out on the water.

This glowing green goo is perfect for all your slimy scenes. We found this stuff in abundance at the haunted house at the end of the lane. The ghosts in residence cooked this stuff up special using radioactive uranium, plutonium, and the slobber of rabid dogs. The brave souls who collected it tangled with the nastiest of spirits and risked their very lives in order to bring it to you for your enjoyment. So use it with gratitude and definitely be careful, as it is very dangerous!
